How to Connect Ue Boom to Windows 10

Junaid_A

Hi Rachael,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

  • Pair the speaker with your PC.

  • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose Device Manager.

  • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).

  • Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.

  • Right click on the same device again and Enable.

  • Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.

Thank you for the reply, unfortunately this did not solve the problem.  I followed the steps but no luck.

Device manager still says WonderBoom headset paired it does not recognize it as a speaker as all.  Any other suggestions, please.

Thank you. Rachael

Hi Rachael,

Thank you for reverting to us with the status of the issue. Let's see if we can get this to work by overriding the PC speakers.

  • Disconnect the Bluetooth speaker from the PC.

  • Pair and reconnect. Once the speaker is connected, restart the PC.

  • Let the speaker to disconnect and reconnect automatically to see if it works.

If the issue persists, you may want to install the latest Bluetooth drivers from Intel and see if it helps.

Let us know how it goes.

This worked! Thank you very much Junaid. For some reason the update only made the UE MEGABOOM connect through audio only but once connected and paired with PC and then restarted it works with the HEADPHONES so it plays through the speaker. Thank you again.
